The Albany Chamber Strings is an amateur orchestra, now in its 33rd year. We meet on Tuesday evenings in the music room at Albany High School, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. The school is located at 603 Key Route Blvd. in Albany, California (map). The orchestra operates as a part of the Albany Adult School, which charges a $60 fee for each 10-week quarter. NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME! Auditions are not required of string players, however wind players that wish to join us must have permission of the conductor. **************************************************************************************************** |

in Albany, open weekdays 9 to 4), by mail, or online at the Adult school

Credit cards are now accepted. The course title is "Chamber Strings",

Please join us on Sunday, March 21, at 4 p.m., at the Veterans Auditorium, 1325 Portland Avenue, Albany, for a program of music by Arriaga, Locatelli, Vaughan-Williams, and Douglas. Admission is free! And if you'd like to join us as an orchestra member, the first rehearsal of the Spring Quarter begins Tuesday, March 29.
